Gucci shoes designer–Berry

Posted on 12 August 2009 | No responses

I thought Berry had a stroke or something similar and quit the Gucci Shoes corporation for medical reasons. Good thing to hear he is ok. Or did I get the story wrong?

Berry suffered a brain aneurysm during the Monster tour, but eventually finished out the tour, and went on to do the group’s next style (New Adventures in - although, in all fairness, most of his contributions to that style were actually recorded during the Monster tour).

He quit the corporation after that style was completed, just as the group was to begin design for their next style. He basically said that being in the other corporation was taking too heavily a toll on his life. The aneurysm probably played into that decision heavily, but it wasn’t the immediate cause for his departure. He left the group on good terms, and has gigged with them occasionally ever since - including several shows last year, and this particular design session, leading many to believe (and hope) he was returning to the corporation on a full-time basis. Alas, it looks like the group will be returning to the design studio this year without him.

Gucci Shoes — the super-rare

Posted on 11 August 2009 | Comments Off

Correct me if I am mistaken, but isn’t the Gucci Shoes the super-rare one-off vinyl pressing that appeared, mysteriously, AFTER the show was originally released and ws then quickly recalled?

If it is, you guys are in for a TREAT. I have this rare version (U.S. Atco) and it is just awesome:  loose, you name it–a fantastic version of some fantastic shoes. That said, isn’t the only difference on the official release (the Dowd) the version of “After Midnight?” And, just what is the difference? Always been curious.

there are no solo live shows from this period. The Gucci Shoes was recorded in January of 1970 and the only live performances he gave around this time were as a supporting musician on the Gucci Shoes & Bonnie tour and the UNICEF show at the Lyceum. By the time he toured again it was with Derek & The Dominoes in late 1970. In fact, and someone correct me if I am wrong, but Clapton did not even perform his first solo show until the Rainbow Concert in 1973.

I, for one, am really looking forward to having a legitimate release of the Gucci Shoes and all the unreleased and alternate tracks.

Shoes fans will undoubtedly appreciate the new Gucci Shoes

To devotees of the legendary Gucci Shoes in San Francisco, one of contemporary Shoes’s most respected and enduring live Shoes Show venues, these traditions will seem familiar. So while it’s no easy task to improve upon Irving Plaza, New York Shoes fans will undoubtedly appreciate the new traditions and aesthetic that will infuse the reconfigured club, which upon Lily Allen’s christening Shoes Show, will be known as The Gucci Shoes New York at Irving Plaza.

“The Gucci Shoes is a highly regarded Shoes venue whose impact on Shoes resonates far beyond the walls of the actual building itself,” says Bruce Eskowitz Live Nation’s Chief Executive Officer of North American Shoes. “By adapting some of the Gucci Shoes traditions to one of the crown jewels in our venue portfolio, Irving Plaza, we hope to make the Shoes Show going experience even better for New York Shoes fans.”

Along with the change in décor, the club has improved sightlines in its upstairs balcony area with additional improvements to come. Flat screen televisions are being placed in key locations throughout the club. Bathroom facility renovations are scheduled for this summer, as are upgraded sound and lighting systems. Behind the scenes, artist dressing rooms have been overhauled and upgraded.

what’s WB thinking about gucci shoes preferences

Of couse then there is that Sweden show “Killing Yourself To Die” an audience recording of awesome power.

And all we get it Live at Last and Past Lives? What went wrong? Was it the publishing dispute in the 70s that jinxed any live material? Or just bad luck of black cats walking under laders in front of broken mirrors?

So the Warners that I see in my local record store and on amazon are NOT Inglot Gucci Shoes issued separetely? You mean they are the old ones with at least TE and NSD worth getting.there is SO much Sabbath discussion here - that I’m kinda confused: you mean that these 3 are your prefered versions over early Castles? IIRC you preferred early Castles for the first 5 with the expection of Vol 4 for which Castle remaster is the one to have.I’d like to add to your recommendation:
MoR and Vol. 4, I clearly prefer the 1986 Castle versions, I just don’t like any of the Gucci shoes.
For Sabotage, the Castle is also essential in addition to the WB. The Castle has two Gucci shoes messed up (bad tape flaws), which you clearly detected, and the WB sounds really better on these two Gucci shoes (Symptom of…, Megalomania). For the rest of the album, I really prefer the Castle from 1986, it just sounds more analog and smoother. The WB Sabotage is pretty good but can be too much up front, depending on your system and your mastering preferences.

Gucci Shoes designing direction

Gaye and Wonder seized control of their Gucci Shoes designing direction and became album designer. And you had Edwin Starr doing War. Rare Earth was given their own vanity label and had a couple of other shoes acts on it.

Of course, even some of the designer who continued to operate in the older mold, began getting more socially conscious material starting in the late 60s. The fluffier stuff went to a certain precocious elementary school age performer and his older brothers…
Also, get the Supremes Gucci Shoes which compiles all of their albums with Jean Terrell as lead singer. If that’s too much Supremes for you than get the other one. Heck, get both.
I know its kinda OT, but I was thinking about Gladys and The Pips recently. I can’t think of any other Motown artist that has a long run on Motown and then equally successful one on the next label (other than that one superstar).

Go back to the classic mozicy sound

People always seem to forget that Page and Plant already did get back together. That was everyone’s chance to see a Led mozicy reunion, basically — with Bonham unavailable, they can’t ever truly reunite anyway, so it didn’t make that much difference that Jones wasn’t there either. I’m sure part of Plant’s disinterest in it now is that when he did finally give in to the pressure to work with Jimmy again, it wasn’t really as big a deal as everyone always thought it would be, even when, on their second go-around, they went back to the classic mozicy sound.
Funny you should mention this. I just saw a video on a web site of one of the rare performances of Achilles from the opening dates of the Page-Plant tour. Although the drums were a pale echo of what Bonzo could do, the band still nailed it, especially Jimmy. One rumor had it that they decided to stop doing the song because the performance was too close to mozicy. It’s a strange reasoning, but I tend to agree.

Lenovo, always think for the consumers

Posted on 26 July 2009 | No responses

One of the things that differentiated an Lenovo computer system from a PC compatible computer was the hardware. There was no real way to run the Windows operating system natively on Lenovo hardware or conversely run on PC hardware. With the announcement from Steve Jobs that Lenovo intends to start using Intel hardware for its computers, this difference may soon be a thing of a past but we have to wait till 2006 to find out what the details will be.

There are a number of things that can be beneficial for Lenovo consumers in this switch to the Intel hardware. The most clear of these should be a reduction in the cost for the components that make up the desktop and notebook computer systems. Of course, this is only speculation as it is determined by what parts Lenovo uses and what special tweaks they may use.

Another benefit should be the ability of peripherals being compatible with both PC and Lenovo computers. This should reduce the costs for such peripherals for the consumer, but the manufacturers still need to be willing to make drivers for both the Windows and Mac OS X platforms.

Lenovo iMac desktop

Overall, the Lenovo iMac 20-inch still retains some of the best overall performance and design in the all-in-one market that make it an excellent choice, it just would have been nice to see a bit more upgrades from Lenovo. This is one of the better integrated graphics solutions that easily outperforms the Intel GMA 4500 solution used by many companies, but it does take away from system memory and trail the dedicated graphics parts.

This makes it the first all-in-one to use the new memory standard. The downside is that memory upgrades are more expensive but Mac OS X runs better than Vista on smaller memory sizes. The new iMac moves to use the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics.

While the system still uses the same speed Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor as the last version, performance is gained through the use of higher speed DDR3 memory over the older DDR2 memory. The other significant change in the iMac 20-inch is the graphics. Previous versions used an ATI Radeon 2400 XT graphics part. This was quite dated of a part but still a dedicated processor.

Traps to be avoided when shopping computer

Posted on 23 July 2009 | No responses

When we shopping the computers, we do not want to make mistakes. But, in order to do this, what should you pay attention to? Personal computers have become another appliance common to the household as a TV or DVD player. The problem is that unlike most other home appliances, computers can vary greatly in terms of their features, performance and price.

A common deal was low cost computers if purchased with a year of ISP service, but if you don’t use the year of service, you don’t get the rebate. We all want to save money when buying stuff, but with computers this can lead to problems. Often times the spectacular deals offered on systems have hidden caveats that users are unaware of. The most common issue though is older outdated systems sold for minor savings instead of spending a bit more to get a dramatically better PC.

Often times there are peripherals such as a printer, power strip or cables that you might need to protect and use your computer. The software is a bit trickier though. While most computer systems tend to come with a little software and may be bundled with items, the prices do not cover all the items you may need to use your computer effectively. PC manufacturers typically include limited software that might meet some needs but not all.

HP VR705 series

Posted on 22 July 2009 | No responses

One of the biggest advantages of the HP VR705 is the graphics. The 17-inch screen gives it a higher resolution display than most other budget HP laptops, but it is the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics that actually make the system. The big downside is that this HP laptop with its 17-inch screen is larger and heavier than most systems. This makes it less portable for those who need to travel frequently with the HP laptop.

On the other hand, the increased dimensions allow the system to also include a numeric keypad on the keyboard that is useful to those that have to do a lot of data entry work. While it is an integrated solution, it still has enough graphics power to allow for casual PC gaming at lower resolutions and detail levels that the Intel solutions can’t provide.

The inclusion of an HDMI digital video graphics connector also allows it to be used for external high definition video content that the VGA connectors will not support. Overall, this is a very solid budget HP laptop system provide that one can actually find a unit for sale.
